Completion Spring 2015
I was referred to the new owners to do some minor upgrades to a duplex they had purchased. I installed new in-floor heating on the main floor with a combination of tile and engineered flooring on top. This was a success and in 2014 I was asked to plan a larger renovation.
The new scope of work consisted of adding a 22 x 22 ft dormer on the existing truss roof, rebuilding and expanding 2 levels of deck, supplying and installing new windows and doors throughout. I enlisted my designer to assist with the plans.
The dormer addition included a new master bedroom with ensuite and the addition of a new stairwell that would not infringe into the existing living room and would not overtake the space.
The two decks were rebuilt and expanded with a beautiful fir post and beam structure. The windows and doors were replaced including an exceptional entry door and french doors to the deck.
As of March 2015 interior is complete and work continues to complete the exterior handrails and finishing details.
